Board Director & Chairman of the Oasis of Hope Health Group
Francisco Contreras, M.D. graduated with honors from Medical School at the University of Mexico. He continued his education at the University of Vienna, Austria, where he specialized in Surgical Oncology and again graduated with honors.

Dr. Contreras is a cancer specialist recognized as an expert by combining conventional and alternative therapies with emotional and spiritual support.

Through his practice, books, interviews and conferences, he shares easy and practical ways to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and chronic illnesses.

As the President and Chairman of the Internationally acclaimed Oasis of Hope Hospital, Dr. Contreras oversees the treatment of 800 cancer patients annually.

Dr. Contreras is a cancer surgeon who received personal instruction in integrative therapies from the alternative medicine icon Ernesto Contreras, Sr., MD.

Oasis of Hope is a member of the American Hospital Association.

Chief Executive Officer of the Oasis of Hope Health Group
Since 1993, Daniel E. Kennedy has lead the Oasis of Hope Hospital in its mission to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of people around the world. He has worked for the last twelve years with Dr. Francisco Contreras counseling cancer patients and their loved ones.
As a doctor of biblical counseling, currently finishing his dissertation for a doctorate in family counseling, his spiritual and psychological counseling program complements the integrative medicine program at the Oasis of Hope.

In 1998, Dr. Kennedy founded the Worldwide Cancer Prayer Day shortly after his father was healed of cancer. In conjunction with the Crystal Cathedral ministries and Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International, this prayer day has extended to 100 countries and will be observed for the ninth year in a row on June 5, 2006.

Dr. Kennedy has had the privilege or writing and co-writing a number of books and speaking abroad in the United Kingdom, Mexico, and numerous cities in the United States. As a part of his personal mission to help others, he leads a multimedia team that utilizes music, drama, and dance to help youth decide for a tobacco, alcohol, and drug free life.
Also, in his education curriculum includes a Masters degree in Ministry, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts and Economy Science.

Due to the many different needs presented by patients and their loved ones; Dr. Kennedy is committed to his patients in his continuous prayers and quest for knowledge.

 

  • Jorge Barroso, M.D., Ph.D.

Vice-President of Research & Development Oasis of Hope Health Group
Vice-President of Research & medical Development in which he has spearheaded the Oasis of Hope Healthcare Group in the development of new and innovative cancer protocols based on the most recognized and recent medical publications. He earned his B. S. degree in Engineering in 1975 form Monterrey Technological Institute in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and his M.D. degree in 1982 from the Baja California Autonomous University School of Medicine.
He has a Ph.D. in Bioengineering Sciences from the University of California San Diego, where he also worked as researcher in the Department of Applied Mechanics and Engineering Science (AMES) and received a Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioengineering.
Dr. Barroso has held several positions as Environmental Advisor for prestigious companies including St. John's Knits and Sanifill, Inc., and served as General Director and Coordinator of the Environmental Protection Agency of the state of Baja California, from 1991 to 1996.
He did extensive research with Dr. Benjamin W. Zweifach, considered for many as the father of microcirculation, published numerous papers in prestigious medical journals, and presented his projects in congresses and meetings in Mexico, the United States, Italy and Japan, regarding the role of leukocyte kinetics, neutrophil activation and tumor necrosis factor in multiple organ failure in hemorrhagic and endotoxic shock.

 
  • David Brockman, M.D.

Oasis of Hope Hospitalís Medical Director
A renowned pediatrician and infectious diseases specialist, Dr. Brockman is Medical Director at the Oasis of Hope Hospital. His administrative skills and experience as Chief of the Ambulatory Pediatrics Department at Sonora Children's Hospital, makes him a valuable asset to maintain a high-quality operation standards in our facility.

He earned his degree from Nuevo Leon Autonomous University Medical School in 1988. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the General Pediatric section of Sonora Children's Hospital, where he got his specialty certification in 1993.

Dr. Brockman has published several articles and done extensive research in diverse areas such as pulmonary and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis, infant bacteriology analysis and the Guillain-BarrČ Syndrome (inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy).

He has worked as associate professor of infectology at the Sonora University Medical School internship program and has a profound understanding of the immune system structural functions and disease defense response.

  • Francisco CeceŇa, M.D.

Director of the Oncological Department of the Oasis of Hope Hospital
Dr. CeceŇa has been treating cancer patients at the Oasis of Hope Hospital since 1994. When he was appointed the Follow Up Program, he made sure that hundreds of our patients continued their treatments at home with an occasional phone call. With this in mind, he is the most experienced doctor with the long-term impact of the Oasis of Hope Hospital protocols. Presently heís the Oncology Centerís Director.

He obtained his M.D. degree from Baja California Autonomous University School of Medicine in 1984 and served in several private hospitals and public health institutions before joining the Oasis of Hope Hospital medical staff in 1993.
Dr. CeceŇa is very committed to his patients and is well known for his passion regarding patients' integral wellness.

 
  • Felipe Lagos, M.D.

Dr. Lagos has been in the Oasis of Hope Hospital medical staff for nearly thirty years now, and has overseen and treated thousands of cancer patients.

He earned his medical doctor degree from the prestigious Mexico National University School of Medicine in 1971. He did his Intern Medicine residency at Mexico City General Hospital from 1973 to 1975. He joined the Oasis of Hope Hospital in 1976.

Dr. Lagos served as Medical Director of the Oasis of Hope Hospital and the Oasis Cancer Center during the 1980's and mid 1990's. He continues to be one of our most experienced doctors with extensive knowledge of critical cancer patients management.
