Even though the concept of early detection sounds promising, at least to a degree, I'm reminded by the unsophisticated words from my unschooled grandma who said, if you detect it, you sure didn't prevent it.
After so much knowledge and science has been gathered on the subject of prevention through lifestyle changes, it's sad that the medical industry has not acted forcefully to encourage people to really prevent by promoting these changes.

The traditional approach to combat cancer is to seek and destroy malignant cells at all cost. Many times, this approach focuses on the end to justify the means, even if the patient suffers exceedingly throughout the treatment. My approach is different because my focus is on the quality of life my patient is experiencing, not the eradication of the tumor.
